Cancellation & Refunds.

Last updated · 2026-05-07

The short version.

  • 30-day free trial. Card required at sign-up; no charge during the trial.
  • Cancel any time during the trial — your card is never charged.
  • After the trial, $99 USD/month, billed in advance, auto-renews monthly.
  • Cancel any time after the trial — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. We do not pro-rate.
  • EU/EEA consumers retain the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. See Section 4.

1. During the free trial.

Every new account starts with a thirty (30) day free trial. We require a valid payment method at sign-up because providing the service has direct cost (AI inference, hosting, snippet CDN), and a card requirement protects honest customers from fraudulent trial abuse — but no charge is made during the trial.

You can cancel any time during the trial directly from the dashboard. There is no fee, no exit interview, and your card is never charged. You keep access until the end of the thirty-day trial period.

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file for the first monthly subscription fee. Your subscription begins on day 31 and renews monthly thereafter.

2. Cancellation after the trial.

You can cancel your paid subscription any time from the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month — you keep full access until that month is over, and you will not be billed for any subsequent month. There is no cancellation fee, no annual commitment, and no lock-in.

3. Refunds (paid subscription).

ShopShift bills monthly in advance. We do not pro-rate refunds for unused days within the current billing month. If you cancel mid-month, you keep full access until month-end. We believe this is fair: you've already received the value of the AI work the platform has done on your shop during the paid month (proposals generated, experiments run, winners declared), and that work continues to benefit your shop after cancellation.

4. EU & EEA — 14-day right of withdrawal.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have a statutory right under the EU Consumer Rights Directive to withdraw from this contract within fourteen (14) days of signing up, without giving any reason.

In practice, our thirty-day free trial gives you a longer and broader withdrawal right than the statutory minimum: cancel any time during the trial and you are charged nothing. If you wish to invoke the fourteen-day statutory right separately — for example, after the trial has converted to a paid subscription — email billing@shopshift.io within fourteen days of sign-up with your account email and the words "I am exercising my right of withdrawal." We will refund any fees paid within fourteen days, less a pro-rated amount for any service used after the trial ended.

5. Discretionary refunds.

We may issue a refund at our discretion in cases of: a sustained service outage attributable to ShopShift (more than seventy-two consecutive hours during the billing month); accidental double-billing; or a billing error on our part. Email billing@shopshift.io and we will respond within five business days.

6. After cancellation.

When your access ends, the snippet on your shop will stop fetching configuration and serve no experiments, but it will remain installed until you remove it. You can export winning experiments as plain DOM changes from the dashboard before cancelling — once exported, you can apply them natively to your theme so the lifts you've already won don't disappear when ShopShift goes away. Raw visitor data is purged within ninety days; aggregated statistics are retained.

7. Chargebacks.

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We can almost always resolve the issue faster than your bank can. Disputed chargebacks may result in account suspension while we investigate.
